NASA’s Ames Research Center, located in Silicon Valley, has a long history of cost-effective development of innovative small- and nano-satellite missions. Ames maintains extensive capabilities through the full mission life cycle, spanning concept development, mission design, rapid prototyping and mission implementation. As host to the Space Technology Mission Directorate’s Small Spacecraft Technology Program and as a partner with multiple other government agencies, Ames Research Center actively promotes development of the commercial small spacecraft industry.
